LIMBitless To Receive $10,000 Donation from Boise River Insurance Powered by
Safeco Insurance® Make More Happen Award Community Support on Social Media Increases Total Donation
MERIDIAN, Idaho (May 26, 2017) — LIMBitless will receive a $10,000 donation from Boise River Insurance in celebration of the agency earning a 2017 Safeco Insurance® Make More Happen Award for demonstrating extraordinary volunteerism to make positive change happen in their community. The donation will assist with the non-profit’s mission to empower and provide wounded veteran and adaptive individuals with support, education, financial resources, and a global community.
Boise River Insurance originally received $5,000 for LIMBitless through a submission process, and this year, Safeco offered agents an additional opportunity to help the causes they care about most. Travis Fullmer, an independent agent for Boise River Insurance, and LIMBitless had a story about positive community change featured on Safeco.com. Together, they were able to raise an additional $5,000 by their story being shared on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn at least 50 times.

Safeco’s Make More Happen Awards focus on non-profits in the areas of health and safety, education and civil service. Boise River Insurance was originally selected for a Make More Happen Award based on a photo and application demonstrating its commitment to LIMBitless, which serves all of Idaho.
The awarded donation will continue to support and fund the LIMBitless Challenge (pushing wounded veterans and adaptive persons to go beyond). Funds will also be used for local area clinics, which support the veteran and adaptive community. The goal is to help a clinic once a quarter which includes adaptive kayaking, supporting the City of Boise Parks and Recreation AdVenture Wheelchair Basketball team, working with the Wyakin Foundation (veterans) among others to get people to "get up, get out, and get moving."
Throughout 2017, Safeco will select a total of 23 independent agents for the awards and donate up to $230,000 to the charitable organizations they support. The Make More Happen Awards are a part of Safeco Insurance’s Agent Giving Program.
Limbitless is holding their annual event, "Limbitless Challenge - Table Rock Ascent" on June 3rd, and we encourage all of you to attend. It's an amazing day for everyone who has the opportunity to experience it.
