What is the LIMBitless™ Challenge?
The LIMBitless™ Challenge is an opportunity for the community to come together and help our veteran, first responder, and adaptive community engage in a physical experience that will empower and enable participants to “Go Beyond” their limits. Our goal is to expand the horizons of what is possible for the participants and to engage the local community through awareness and interaction. Through our valued partnerships, we hope to equip individuals with the tools they need to become more LIMBitless™ in their daily lives.
Our first LIMBitless Challenge took place on June 4th, 2016 in Boise, Idaho. 17 adaptive teams made the hike to the top of Table Rock, including 11 wheelchair teams. Each wheelchair participant was equipped with a FreeWheel attachment to keep, for increased mobility in their daily lives as well as better recreational opportunities.
Our 2018 Challenge was an enormous success, which included 33 adaptive teams and over 130 volunteers. Fourteen (14) participants received a FreeWheel which provides greater mobility for those in a wheelchair.
Although the Limbitless Challenge in Boise is a hike, it could be any type of recreational or sports challenge.
Our long-term goal is to host an event in every state in the United States, so if you would like to see an event in your city, please contact us and share your ideas for it!
Unfortunately our event has been canceled three time due to weather and COVID.
We are looking for a date in 2021.
